He Deals Drugs

Okay so, iam 20 and home from college for the summer. My friend has a boyfriend who is 26. My friends and I were at his apartment the other night for a party. He and his friends smoke and deal pot.

THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I LIKE TO ASSOCIATE MYSELF WITH, but I realize that other people do it and I can just say no.

Anyway, one of his friends took a liking to me and has sent me a message on facebook asking me for my number so we can go out sometime.

I am sure he is a great guy and all but, HE DEALS DRUGS. Which is not okay with me and I dont want to be involved with someone who does that. Plus my dad is a cop and my uncle is a narcotics officer so no dating a drug dealer wont go over too well..

I am single, and I will see this guy again at parties. I have no problem being friends with him but thats all its going to be, especially because he deals drugs.

Here is the dilemma: I cant just ignore the message because im going to be seeing this guy all summer because we have mutual friends so it will be super awkward if he thinks I just ignored it because he will just ask again.

I can't be like no, way drug dealer. Because smoking pot is not any issue for anyone but me and they will all give me a hard time about it.
So, Do I lie and tell him, that I kind of have a boyfriend? This is the only solution I can come up with.
WHAT DO I DO?

Tell him so. Plain and simple. Why are you even hangin' with people you don't want to be like? That is foolish. Every day is the beginning of the rest of your life. What do you want for yourself, in fact, why don't you report these drug dealers and let them get busted for breaking the law?? Don't let fear motivate you -- think of all the lives that you will be affecting in a positive way. We all only have one life, it is now. : )

What's wrong with speaking your mind?

I do drugs, but I would never date a dealer. Too many problems. Too many dirtbags rolling in and out of his house. Phone calls...

I don't think you will look uncool or get thrown out of your group of friends if you tell this guy how you feel (and especially what your family does).

Guys like that need to know why they suck. Just don't break my dealers heart. I need to make a purchase soon! ;)
