Wait for Sex

My boyfriend and I argue quite often. I asked him to wait before we have sex for the first time but he disagrees. We have only been dating for one month.
Before him, I have not been with anyone for about two years (yes no sex).
I asked him to wait another month so we can get comfortable with each other and really enjoy our moment.
He says he can't do that.
I have not been with a man for so long and have been waiting for the right one to come along (yes, the perfect man and match is very hard to find indeed)!
I do not know what to do in this situation or what to say to him about waiting for sex.
To top it all, every time I even speak with another guy, he thinks there's something shady going on and that I am flirting. He is kind of the suspicious type.
All this prevents us often to have a great time. Should I wait for sex?
