wrong side of the world

I've been home not 2 weeks now. I was on a working exchange in the uk and had a boyfriend back home and he had a girlfriend there. Still the whole time we knew each other i was drawn to him. Every cryptic little remark that he said... I knew that slowly I was falling in love with him and i couldnt help it.

He's the most interesting amazing man I've ever met and any second he even just looked at me I felt happy. I knew he would never feel the same as me, that he had a girlfriend, that i would be foolish to think such an amazing guy could think of me as more that a slightly pathetic friend.

The night before I left for home, for good, he found me and held me and confessed he had been just as tortured as me and that he loved me. The next day I left. Now I'm on the opposite side of the world with a boyfriend who loves me in a way that I can't return anymore.

I'm never going to see him again.
